Don Antonio Blanco, born on September 15, 1912, is of Spanish and American descent. Eventually he managed to find
Bali at the age of 39 years. Don Antonio Blanco was truly enchanted by the exoticism of Bali especially in the beauty of Balinese women. Until finally he married a Balinese woman named Ni Ronji. His wife, a traditional Balinese dancer, was the source of inspiration and the model of the Maestro’s paintings.

In his work, he spent a lot of time in his studio located on Penestanan Highway Campuhan Village, Ubud District, Gianyar Regency, Bali. This
location is now the Antonio Blanco Museum where the work has been published for the world. There are around 300 paintings on display at this museum. All of them are the work of the Maestro. When entering a circular round door. From there it will appear a large gate that towers. The large gate made of original Italian green marble was inspired by Antonio
Blanco’s signature which was erect. Under the gate which is also the entrance of the museum there are 2 dragons which are symbols of museum guards.

The address of the Antonio Blanco Museum is on Campuhan Highway, Sayan Village, Ubud District, Gianyar Regency, Bali. It takes 45 minutes – 1 hour from Ngurah Rai Airport Denpasar. The Antonio
Blanco Museum is open every day from 09.00 – 17.00.

Tips:

• Visitors are not allowed to take photos in this museum room. In addition to the painting exhibition room, there is also a room which is the studio where Antonio Blanco produces his artistic works. Even the paint and brushes used are still stored well in the room.
• Satisfied walking around the museum, the visitors can sample Balinese specialties and European flavors at Rondji Restaurant, which is located a bit above the Antonio Blanco Museum. Not only presents tasteful cuisine, Rondji Restaurant also displays the beauty of Ubud in a real way.
